Mobile Mania!

This is one device which is truly enigmatic. Tightly gripped in your palm or carefully tucked in your pocket or safely kept in your bag, the mobile is the most sought after gadget these days. Mobile mania is very hard to fade. To top it, it's hit across all generations, all classes and equally loved by both genders. Yes, cellphones are the biggest hit across the globe. The best part is it lets you talk and people are talking a lot on mobile phones. Go to any office lobby and find the employees glued to their phones on a break. Going for a stroll in your neighbourhood park and find the walkers, the caring mothers talking incessantly on their mobile phones while keeping a hawk's eye on their kids. Mobile fever is caught on. Curiously, the the not so educated are also owning up these talking devices and talking a lot on their phones or simply listening to fm radios on their phones while doing hard labour. Also, it is much easier to trace them now. Whatever. thanks to this teeny-weeny device, everyone is communicating. And communication is always good. We are connected due to cell-phones. I would say it is amazing since it is letting us talk.....communication is the key.

ya ekta 'communication is the key 'but too much of it does hamper our work.
we tend to talk more than we work
and talking on the phone while driving'though illegal' is still prevelent and veryy risky.
people dont even use ear phones,just turn their necks to fix the piece.
i believe it will give them twisted neck or permanent angular shape for coming generations.
so talk india talk but be careful.

Being a hard core Akshay fan and of late his wife's fan too, somehow just wanted to watch this much publicised 'issue' based movie, Padman. With my 3 year old daughter, multiplex visits are minimal now but very much wanted even her to watch this 'women' centric film. Somewhere something was striking very hard. Just out of a fancy Gurgaon based multiplex, me, hubby and our daughter are super enthralled. Yes, the movie turned out to be just awesome and this was for the first time the active toddler decided to sit back and watch the entire show. Wow! So for me the movie was no less than wow. We have the superhero, Akshay Kumar, just drowning himself completely in this superhero role. What if somebody creates a machine and a pad churns out of it at Rs 2. Big deal! Yes it is a big deal for those who still can't utter this very basic female physiological phenomenon. Freedom - what does it mean to you?

We just celebrated our independence day. 61 years ago we were under the rule of britishers. We freed ourselves loudly declaring to the world our independence. We have come a long way. Today we live in an independent India. Are we actually enjoying the freedom today? I belive that we have come a long way from where we started and probably going haywire. In this growing journey towards individualisation, we are losing on many accounts. Everyday, one or the other terror strike and violence in some part of the country is certainly very disturbing and no matter how carefree you are, it would be tough to remain aloof. More agonisingly, our next generation would be suffering even more. Not really want to sound pessimistic but the panic-ridden faces of people even on an independence day are no comfort!
